The main feature of Wildfire Report is the ability to warn other people about fires by reporting them via the app's interface. When you spot a fire and report it, your location is sent to the backend servers in real-time and visualized on the map for all other users to see.

In addition to reporting fires directly in the app, you can also share them on Twitter and Facebook. The app conveniently pre-fills the tweet or post with a screenshot of your location and the Twitter handle of the fire brigade. These reported fires are also indicated with pins on the map.

For added awareness, the app also provides information on fires detected by satellites. If you're a tourist in a country prone to wildfires during the summer, it's recommended to check the app before hitting the road.

Wildfire Report also informs users when there are no fires reported or detected. However, do note that there may be a delay of up to 3 hours in receiving satellite data, depending on the orbit.
